The Gite de Beaumanoir is a pretty renovated stone cottage, set in a lovely garden with a trampoline, in quiet countryside. With 3 large bedrooms upstairs, and a spacious living area downstairs, the gite can comfortably accommodate 7 people and a baby.
Its pretty garden is perfect for children - big, safe and quiet, with a trampoline (with safety net), swings and a rope ladder.
Beaumanoir is 25 minutes from Brittany's beautiful south coast beaches, 15 minutes from Auray and Vannes, lovely old towns with typical bustling markets, 3 km from Pluvigner, a small town where you can find all amenities (shops, restaurants, tennis courts, etc…), 3 km away from the Camors forest (ideal for long walks and horse riding) 4 km from the “L'Etang de la Foret” (a lake ideal for fishing and canoeing) and 20 minutes from Carnac, La Trinité Sur Mer, Le Golfe du Morbihan, Quiberon and its crossings to “Belle Île en Mer”.
In winter the gite is cosy and well heated, and also has an open fire, with a supply of logs.
Pluvigner is ideally situated in southern Brittany - less than half an hour from dozens of lovely sandy beaches, and yet also in the middle of Brittany's rolling countryside. You can chose between the beaches at Erdeven or Locmariaquer, the standing stones at Carnac, the sophisticated buzz of La-Trinite-sur-Mer, the old towns of Auray or Vannes, the fortified citidal at Port-Louis, the beautiful River Blavet valley, the old town and castle at Josselin.....or just sit and enjoy the pretty garden!

"We'd come again - just for the trampoline! Better than a swimming pool, according to the children. We never had to drag them away from the beach; they were desperate to get back for water fights on the trampoline!". Will and Liz, Dublin (2nd visit)
"We are a family of five with three children ages 13,12 and 6. This is the nicest holiday home that we have stayed in from our experiences of both France and Ireland. The house is very clean, well set out and maintained and very comfortable. The kitchen was particularly well equipped and we wanted for nothing. The house is very homely and it was very easy for us to settle in for the week we were there. We appreciated the additional touches - books and toys for the children and also the very welcome cidre and local biscuits which we met on our arrival. The garden is perfect for children and we did not see ours for hours on end - the trampoline is a great asset! The location is perfect for local sightseeing to visit the local towns and villages or to travel further afield. There is a great variety of different towns in close driving proximity to the gite - from Carnac Plage and the ice cream parlour (with the certificate from the Guinness Book of Records for the most different flavours of icecream!) to St Anne D'Auray with its magnificant cathedral. We really enjoyed reacquainting ourselves with Brittany and Beaumanoir will be our 1st choice when we return. Abbey and Andre were very helpful suggesting possible places for us to visit and to eat. Many thanks for making our holiday such a success!" Anne and Anthony, Cork, Ireland
"This is a lovely spacious gite (the photographs don't do it justice) ideally located for the coast, countryside and bustling towns. We appreciated the tranquility and space of the gite, coupled with the ready accessibility of the nearby town. The owners were helpful but inobtrusive. We all had a lovely holiday, with the children particularly enjoying the garden." Sally and Johnny, August 2008.
"We found the house absolutely great. Our 1 and 3 year old loved everything about it: the trampoline, the huge flat garden, the baby walker, having their own room and the children's videos! We loved: the well-equiped openplan kitchen for cooking and well-appointed patio table for eating and drinking and extremely comfy bed.
Abbey provided us with a brilliant list of local beaches and descriptions/advice as when to go regarding wind and tides which was exactly what we needed. Favourite beach was on L'Isle de Houat (short boat trip out to from Quiberon) but we also loved St Pierre near Loc Mariaquer.
Pluvigner is a very short drive away and has everything- there are 5 boulangeries to choose from every morning!
I would certainly recommend this gite and locality. Thank you Abbey and Andre for everything. " Steph and Will, July 2010
"We have just come back from a week staying at Abbey and Andre's Gite in Pluvigner and are missing it already! The gite itself was lovely and very homely and even though we were 2 families with 3 children under 5 it did not feel cramped at all as there was plenty of room inside and out for energetic youngsters to run around. Everything had been thought of including toys for the children and the trampoline in the pretty garden provided hours of fun for all! And once the children had gone to sleep a lovely place to relax with a BBQ and a chilled glass of wine or two!
Abbey and Andre live next door so are always on hand if you need them but also very discreet should you just want to be left alone. Abbey gave us some wonderful recommendations for things to do in the surrounding area as well as being invaluable when our car decided to break down as soon as we hit french shores acting as interpreter in the place of our very poor french.
The surrounding area is beautiful with some lovely towns and villages to visit. We were lucky enough to have fabulous weather so spent a lot of time on the beach but there seemed to be lots to do still had the weather not been so good. We felt we had barely scratched the surface of the what the area has to offer and our only negative point to make would be that a week was just not long enough particularly if driving from Calais. We will certainly be back and would warmly recommend to friends and family. " Monkeymoo, May 2010
Thanks once again for a lovely holiday!
