The Costa Blanca Valencia Region

Playa Flamenca is ideally situated, just off the N332 to Cartagena, and also, the A37 motorway, linking Alicante to Cartagena, exiting at La Zenia. Our villa is 45 minutes drive south of Alicante airport, and 20 minutes drive north from Murcia (MJV) airport. It is a comforting thought to know that Playa Flamenca is a quiet residential area, close to many blue-flag beaches, and all the required holiday amenities, but it does not have the overcrowding, concrete jungles, discos, and fast-food joints, loathed by holidaymakers seeking peace and tranquility. Car hire is advisable for golfing, touring, sightseeing etc, and competitive rates are available. Pick-up service to and from the airport, is available as an extra, if requested, with payment being made directly to the provider of the service. Regular bus and taxi service is available in the area, with Bank, ATM, local police, and tourist office, all within easy walking distance from the villa.

Playa Flamenca is unique, in that it can cater for many different types of holiday. You can enjoy a summer or winter break; a golfing or seaside break; a historic or maritime break; or perhaps a relaxing or fun holiday with your family.There are 5 blue flag beaches within easy reach. For the walker/Jogger, you are really in the right spot. The Costa Blanca area, with over 320 fine days in the year, is now considered by the World Health Organization, to be the healthiest place in Europe to live, it is no wonder that everybody wants a little piece of it.
Torrevieja, a 10/12 minute commute by car or bus, is a beautiful Spanish town. It has a beautiful marina; waterfront market; street entertainment; shops, cafes, bistros, restaurants, bars, and a beautiful church square. The superb palm-lined promenade and harbour board-walk are a must for that evening stroll. Other attractions include go-carting and aqua parks.

Playa Flamenca Area

For the history enthusiast, the Orihuela region, with it's many museums, monuments, churches, and historic buildings, is well worth a visit. The old part of the town of Orihuela was declared an historic-artistic and monumental area in 1969. There are many noble buildings, six of which are declared Cultural Heritage. History is in abundance in the nearby towns of Murcia and Cartagena. For the lovers of ecological and environmental tourism, you may like to visit the lakes of La Mata and Torrevieja, where you can enjoy a mud bath, recommended by doctors worldwide for it's curative properties for a large number of rheumatic dermatological, heart and respiratory complaints.
You can play golf in this golfer's paradise, with 3 beautiful championship courses of international prestige within a 10 minutes drive. Facilities include : Club Hire; Caddie Cart & Buggy Hire; Proshop; Restaurant; Driving Range & Putting Green. The fabulous Villamartin is a frequent venue for the Mediterranean Open. Campoamor, set amongst the palm and pine trees is a beauty to behold. Las Ramblas, another magnificent course, and a real test of golf. Also within a half hours drive, you can select from a total of 12 superb courses, each with it's own unique design, including the now famous La Manga and La Finca courses, El Valle, La Torra, Roda, and the renowned Hacienda Del Alamo. All are challenging, but are most enjoyable to play.

Rental Details

All rates quoted include Air-Conditioning, Electricity, Digital TV (90 channels) + BBC's and ITV's, free Wi-Fi, Video, Dvd, Stereo, with a large collection of videos, dvds, sports, films, and a sizable collection of books. Bed Linen, Hand and Bath Towels are supplied. Some Beach Towels are also available.
Rates are per weekly letting (i.e. 7 days and 7 nights). Check-in from 3.00 pm on date of arrival. Check-out by 10.00 am on date of departure. Earlier check-in or later check-out can be arranged, subject to availability.
Hopefully you will not need to use either, but for peace of mind, please ensure before you leave home, that you have full travel insurance, and also an E111 European Health Insurance Card, which entitles you to urgent medical benefits, if required, during a short-term stay in a member state of the EU.

All reservations require a booking deposit of €200 plus €150 security deposit. The security deposit is refundable, and will be returned to you as soon as possible after satisfactory inspection of the villa, and the villa keys and security gates remote control are posted back directly to the villa owners Irish address, which will be included with your booking data. A post holiday cleaning fee of €75 will be payable to our caretaker before you leave the villa. And let me put your mind at ease, - we treat all of our clients honourably, and nobody has ever failed the post holiday inspection. Settlement of account, and the balance of your booking deposit will be payable 8 weeks prior to your arrival date. Following receipt of your final deposit, the villa keys and an information pack will be sent, by registered post, to your home address. Payments are accepted in cheque, bank draft, or bank transfer in Euro.

Exterior Details

The out-door patio has a table & chairs, with seating for up to 8 people, to accommodate out-door dining. The tiled garden contains a large charcoal BBQ. Within 50 yards of your villa, you have a beautiful, well maintained residential swimming pool, with a kiddies paddling area. It is available all year round to residents and their guests. Access to the pool is by key which you will have as part of your villa keys. The Solarium with Mediterranean sea views, has 2 sunbeds, table and chairs. Shops, restaurants and bars are all just a short walk away. Every Saturday morning, between 9.00 am and 2.30 pm, there is an open street market within a four minutes walk from the villa. It is on the main street, and is considered to be one of the best street markets in all of Spain. Your villa is in an urbanization, protected by security gates at both ends, so no noisy through traffic to upset your holiday, as well as making it a very safe area for children.

Interior Details

Air-conditioning is an essential necessity during June, July, August, and September. Each room in the villa has air-conditioning, (Hot & Cold), as well as ceiling fans, for that extra holiday comfort. A safe is available for your valuables and passports, in the wardrobe in the master bedroom. All windows and external doors are fitted with security grills. Kitchen has: Fridge Freezer, George Foreman, Microwave, Electric Kettle, Toaster, Coffee Maker, Orange Squeezer, with full settings for up to 8 people. A snack counter & stools, and a table & chairs are available for indoor meals. The living-room has 2 large leather couches, coffee table, nest of tables, drinks cabinet, digital TV, DVD, VCR, and stereo. Watch your favourite programmes in air-conditioned luxury. Master bedroom has outdoor balcony with table & chairs. Bedrooms have built-in wardrobes, lockers and bedside lamps. A travel cot + mattress and fitted sheet, are available for the little ones. A single children's pushchair, with parasol, is also available in the villa. Main bathroom has bath, and both bathrooms have shower, toilet, sink, shaver socket. For families without transport, there is a 2 wheel pull-along shopping trolley available to transport your groceries and shopping items. Should you need any further baby items, i.e. pushchair, gates, car seats etc, a local company, Easy Ads in La Zenia, hire out these items at a reasonable weekly rate.
