2 Culfaff Beach

Inishowen, the largest peninsula on the island of Ireland is located on the most northerly point of the Wild Atlantic Way in the north of County Donegal. It is an area of spectacular natural beauty with countless sandy beaches, beautiful coastal villages and towns, and plenty of outdoor activities to keep the whole family entertained! The Inishowen 100 Drive is an ideal way to explore the region, find your favorite sandy beach or hill walk or enjoy a bowl of chowder in one of the award winning pubs and restaurant.

Outdoor enthusiasts will be spoiled for choice in Inishowen! Try kayaking at Fort Dunree and then explore the historic Fort. Inish Adventure Center in Moville caters for full or half day's activities from sailing, kayaking, whitewater rafting and much more. A visit to Ireland's most northerly point, Bamba's Crown is a must as is the cliff walk. There are too many local beaches to list but for walking The Five Fingers Strand (located only 4km) is a favorite and for swimming and surfing try Culdaff (less than 15mins drive) . For golfers, the world famous Ballyliffin Golf club is just a short 20mins drive. Doagh Island with Carrickabraghy Castle and the Famine Village is only 18km away and Glenevin Waterfall is situated just outside the village of Clonmany (20km), Located a short drive from Clonmany and on the Inishowen 100 is the Mamore Gap with its 'Magic Road. There are equestrian centers dotted all over the peninsula where you can take a trek on the beach or along the country lanes. The historic Walled City of Derry is only a 50mins drive and from there you can explore the stunning Antrim Coast.
