The accommodation consists of 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and spacious living room with dining and lounge areas. This is a great place for family holidays, and can sleep up to 8 or 9 people including children. There is a comfy sofa-bed in the living room, and cot and highchair are available on request. The property is is located in a residential area, but there are good amenities close by, some within just a few minutes walk. Nearby you will find restaurants and bars, cafes and shops, a skate park, and public park with kiddies play area.
The centre of Albufeira Old Town and the beach are easily reached. If you don’t have a car, you can hop on the tourist bus, which stops just over the road from the villa. Or, if you don’t mind a bit of a walk, it’s about 20/25 minute walk down to the nearest beach.

The Algarve Region
Already a well known destination for family beach holidays and for golfers, the Algarve has much, much more to offer.
With some of the most beautiful beaches in Southern Europe, the Algarve has over 150km of south-facing coastline stretching from Cape St Vincent in the west to the Spanish border in the east. Along the coast are a number of well developed tourist hotspots as well as quiet little villages overlooking the ocean. Further inland you will find charming little pockets of unspoilt countryside and places which seem untouched by time.Already a well known destination for family beach holidays and for golfers, the Algarve has much, much more to offer.
One of the Algarve’s top getaways, Albufeira has wild nightlife, an inexhaustible choice of activities and many world-beating beaches. A whopping 25 beaches fly the Blue Flag here, which is more than any other municipality in Europe. Safe to say, much of your time will be whiled away on golden sand, with ochre cliffs, azure surf and warm sun.
And despite Albufeira’s reputation for parties ’til dawn, the centre of town is a long way from all the craziest nightspots. This quaint old quarter is altogether more Portuguese, and has restaurants serving fish and seafood caught by the town’s fishing fleet.
The Algarve is famed for its beautiful beaches, and Albufeira has one of the largest beaches of the region. This vast beach of soft golden sands and crystal-clear waters, extends for 2km and is divided into three sections; the Praia dos Pescadores, the Praia do Inatel, Praia dos Alemães. The Praia dos Pescadores is situated in front of the Old Town and is the most popular section of beach.
The Praia da Oura is to the east of Albufeira and is where tourists based in the New Town (and The Strip) head to for a relaxing day on the beach. São Rafael is the third beach of Albufeira, and has a picturesque setting being surrounded by golden cliffs and little tourist development.
Visitors will be spoilt for choice when eating out, as Albufeira boasts over 500 eating establishments, and this diverse selection of restaurants, cafes and bars cover every cuisine style, budget or dietary requirement. Food is significantly cheaper than back at home and generally of a high standard. Albufeira is an ideal location to try local and traditional Portuguese cuisines.
Portuguese food tends to be hearty and filling (often served with rice, chips and bread as a starter) and Algarve specialities are based around freshly caught fish or shellfish. One dish to try is Cataplana, a seafood rice stew, that is both cooked and served in a large copper dish and is designed to be shared. Locally produced wines are the perfect accompaniment to any meal!
There are three excellent water parks close to Albufeira; Slide and Splash, Aqualand and Aquashow. These water parks contain gravity-defying flumes, near vertical slides and wave pools, and provide excitement for children of all ages.
The Algarve is famed for it’s wonderful golf courses and though Albufeira is not a common golf based holiday destination it is very easy to both hire clubs and travel to the courses. The three golf course close to Albufeira are Salgados (18hole), Pine cliffs (9hole) and Balaia (9hole).

Villa Oliveira is located just outside the center of Albufeira, about the same distance from what is known as The Baixa (Old Town) and The Strip (New Town).
It is in a quiet residential area, but there are restaurants, bars, cafes and shops within walking distance.
Outside there is the space around the pool (where we usually set up most of the sunbeds and a small table with chairs).
And there's also a small terrace with BBQ (accessed from the kitchen), plus another large terrace on the other side of the villa (accessed from the living room) again with table and chairs, and a couple of extra sunbeds.
