No. 8 Haven's End is a fantastic location for a holiday or a short break. The off road positioning is quiet and safe for children. Guests can stroll up and down to the beach a no of times in the day due to its close proximity. There is a small lawn at the front & enclosed deck and patio at the rear. The spacious open plan layout of the house encourages interaction between all guests. The L-Shaped couch and additional seating make for relaxing TV viewing in front of an open fire. (Storage heating & open log fire).
Well equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, microwave etc.(tea towels/dishwasher tablets etc provided) Double doors open onto the patio give additional space for entertaining/dining al fresco.

Three spacious timber floored bedrooms are upstairs, 1 Master En-Suite(SuperKing Bed), 2 King Size Double Bed & bunks, 3. Twin Singles. Luxury bed linens and all towels provided.

The Cork Region

Tragumna is a Blue Flag beach located on the The Wild Atlantic Way. It is a great base for exploring the south west region from Kinsale to Mizen Head. Approx 5 mins drive away, you can visit Liss Ard Estate - enjoy wonderful woodland walks & see the Crater.
Skibbereen is approx. ten mins drive away and has excellent shopping, supermarkets, pubs, cafes, restaurants, hotels, bakeries, art galleries. Visit the historical Skibbereen Heritage Centre & discover the history of the South West.
Lough Hyne is Europe's first Marine Nature Reserve where you can enjoy a gentle stroll at the waters edge, go hiking on the Lough Hyne Loop Walk, swimming or kayaking. Night kayaking is also available on Lough Hyne.

Skibbereen Area

Follow the Wild Atlantic Way on a coastal drives to the villages of Glandore, Union Hall, Castletownshend, Baltimore etc and there are plenty restaurants & and bars serving fresh seafood and and other delicious food.
Take a day trip to the islands Sherkin, Cape Clear or Heir island. It is well worth a trip to Bantry (approx. 40 mins drive), to see historic Bantry House & Gardens. Head onwards to Glengarriff to see The Blue Pool, Bamboo Park & take a ferry past the seal colonies to see Garnish Island & Gardens.

For a relaxing day, Baltimore Leisure pool is open all year round, 16.5 m pool, kiddies pool,gym, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi etc & go for wood-fired pizza in the Jolie Breeze Restaurant over looking Baltimore Harbour & Sherkin Island.

The stunning Mizen Head Pensinsula is another must see with its dramatic cliff scenery, visitor centre & walkway, on the way there you take in Schull, Goleen & the breathtaking Barleycove Blue Flag Beach.

Golf, whale watching, cycling, walking, hiking, angling, sailing, sea safari, kayaking(also by night) and diving are just a few of many activites available in the beautiful West Cork region.
There are numerous festivals running from May through to October ranging from film, music, food, harbour & regattas, literary & story telling festivals so something for all interests.

Getting There

When entering Skibbereen, head towards the Baltimore road, from the roundabout at Lidl, take the R596 (1st left) Casteltownshend rd, continue for 2.3km & turn right at the grotto. Continue for 1.5km then turn left opposite Gate House. Go for 2.9 km & pass the beach on right. Take immediate left opposite Skibbereen Eagle pub into Havens End.
