Our scenic coastline with towns famous for their fresh seafood and countryside steeped in history with many places to visit. We are slso next to Kerry with Killarney and the lakes, Dingle peninsula etc.
Macroom is situated on the N22 midway between Cork City and Killarney(35 min. drive each way approx.) a bustling market town on the banks of the Sullane River with historic Castle Gates. The town has a range of activities for the visitor, children's playground, fishing, riverside walks, hill walks or cycling as the area has various trails and pathways, golfing at Macroom Golf club and other surrounding clubs, Foto, Lee Valley, Kenmare and Killarney to name but a few.
There are a wide variety of Hotels, Restaurants and Traditional Irish Music Bars to frequent. We also have the Briery Gap Theatre hosting various events. Christmas Season and the St. Patrick's Day Parade are spectacular in Macroom.
DIRECTIONS TO HOUSE: From Cork City on the N22 to Macroom. Go all the way through the town until you come to the bridge. Take the second right after the bridge, follow the road passing the Garda Station and Court House on your left, straight ahead and No. 1 Sunnyside is located to your left in this quite cul-de-sac.
