Villa Miguel is a delightful and comfortably furnished detached villa is set in peaceful residential area near the popular coastal resort of Olhos d’Agua between Albufeira (6 kms) and Vilamoura (10 kms). The Villa is conveniently located on the main Albufeira road but set back in a residential cul-de-sac. The delightfully pretty Olhos D’Agua Beach is 500 mts away with several splendid beachside restaurants. This cheerful, friendly resort has an excellent variety of local and international eateries, bars and little shops en route from the beach to the resort centre, where you’ll also find the chemist, taxi rank, a large supermarket and the daily municipal market too.

Nearby, other wonderful beaches include Rocha Baixinha, Praia dos Tomates and the famous Blue Flag Falésia beach with its stunning back drop of red sand cliffs east of Olhos d’Agua, with Maria Luisa and Santa Eulalia beaches to the west. Golfers can enjoy the beautifully scenic, nine hole course at Sheraton Pine Cliffs in Açoteias just 2 kms away or the tricky collection of par 3 holes at Balaia Village, also just 2 kms from the resort. The ever popular resorts of Praia da Oura and Albufeira are within a 5 mins drive.

Villa Miguel is set in its own private grounds within a residential area. It has its own private drive for secure car parking and a gated entrance through the small grass area to the front of the villa. The Villa is air conditioned throughout and is built on three levels, around a good size swimming pool and neatly landscaped gardens to the front creating a peaceful little oasis ideal for swimming and taking in the rays! On entry into the villa, there is a spacious sun filled lounge and dining area, with patio doors leading out onto a small balcony overlooking the pool area. The lounge has a large corner leather sofa for 6 , 2 armchairs, coffee table, dining table and chairs for 8, TV, DVD and CD. A full fitted modern kitchen is located of the lounge with a utility room housing the dishwasher, with a door leading directly out onto the balcony area overlooking the pool. From here you can also access the roof terrace with stunning sea views as well as the local area of Olhos DAgua and surrounding countryside. Located also on the ground floor there is a double bedroom with a separate bathroom (with walk in shower). Upstairs, accessed by a marble staircase there are two twin bedrooms, and one double bedroom all with their own en suite bathrooms. The Double bedroom and one of the twin bedrooms share a balcony overlooking the pool area, and the other twin has a balcony overlooking the front of the villa.

There are steps (gated) leading down to the pool area with it’s built in BBQ & sink area with table and chairs perfect for dining alfresco. There are sun beds and umbrellas located around the pool area.

The property offers spacious accommodation, located within walking distance of the resort of Olhos DAgua and beach and is an ideal choice for families or large groups wanting a relaxing holiday.

The Algarve Region

Portugal’s southernmost region known as the Algarve has established itself as a firm favourite holiday destination for people from all over Europe as well as the rest of the world. This is due mainly to its almost tropical climate boasting over 3000 hours of annual sunshine. With its stunning long sandy beaches, majestic cliff facings, secret coves and caves contrasting with the inland of mountains, almond blossom covered hills and quaint hidden towns the Algarve has something to offer for everyone.

There are many major attractions for all the family to enjoy including Zoo Marine (where you can swim with the dolphins), horse riding on the beach and some brilliant fun filled water parks all within a half hour drive of the house - Aqualand and Slide & Splash being the most popular. The parks all provide buses that will transfer you to and from the Parks.

Locally there is golfing, tennis, horse riding and a sports facility. If you want to get away from the coast for the day then a drive to Monchique and Foia (the highest point of the Algarve) is highly recommended. On the way you could visit the castle in Silves and stop for lunch of chicken Piri-Piri in the small mountain town of Monchique. It will take you less than an hour to get there.

Two large shopping centres are 'Algarve Shopping' in Guia and 'The Forum' in Faro just 20-30 minutes by car. The Algarve Shopping is a large mall which is approx. 15 minutes drive away. Here you will find a variety of shops, a big supermarket, a bowling alley, a multi-screen cinema (most films are in English with Portuguese sub titles) and a food hall.
Alternative ways of exploring the Algarve are by joining one of the many jeeps that head out each day (high season) to explore the unspoilt Algarve. This is a great day out for the family and will pick up and drop off in the area.

As Olhos DAgua is ideally situated between Vilamoura and Albufeira there are plenty of great boat trips leaving from both Albufeira and Vilamoura marinas every day. You can choose from a full or a half day and this can often include a trip into the caves and grottoes of the beautiful Algarvian coast line. If you fancy a drive into Spain then the border is only a 50 minute drive and Seville approx two hours depending on traffic.
As the Algarve spans a large area with wonderful sights and attractions, car hire is highly recommended to explore, but not essential for this villa as there are a number of good restaurants and bars within walking distance and the beach is a 5-6 minute walk away. Taxis are reasonably priced. Transfers can also be arranged for you if requested.

Olhos d'Agua Area

Olhos d’Agua is a popular fishing village located between the busier resorts of Vilamoura to the east and Albufeira to the west. It is the ideal place for you to relax and enjoy the Portuguese sun yet its central location also makes it a perfect base from which to explore the rest of the Algarve. The main street in Olhos d’Agua winds downhill, with bars and restaurants along the way, and leads to the popular sandy beach at the bottom. The walk to the beach takes approximately 10 minutes.

The beach follows round the coast in both directions, and the rocky red cliffs and pine trees make for an impressive backdrop. Just a 2 minute drive in the direction of Albufeira takes you to the beach of Santa Eulalia -another beautiful sandy beach with two lovely beach restaurants serving a variety of dishes from snacks and sandwiches to fresh seafood and traditional Portuguese dishes. Olhos d’Agua has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing holiday in the sun.

By day, there are plenty of beaches to explore, and by night there is a variety of local restaurants to enjoy. For those wishing to venture further afield, there are a number of theme parks and zoos to be enjoyed by all the family, not to mention the array of world class golf courses within easy driving distance, so you can make your holiday as active or peaceful as you like.

Low cost flights available from most of the regional airports to Faro as well as scheduled flights from the main airports.

Transfer time from airport approx. 30 minutes by car.

Fly to Lisbon Airport and drive to Algarve - transfer time approx. 2.5 hours.

The property is maintained by a property manager who will meet you when you arrive and ensures all your needs are catered for.

This accommodation is most suitable for families and couples.

Cot and highchair are available on request and there is a weekly charge of €10 for a cot and €15 for a highchair.

Sorry no pets are allowed.

Guests are asked to bring their own beach towels please.

Guests are kindly requested not to smoke inside the house but to use the outside areas.
