The villa is situated in a beautiful area on a small development of luxury villas, which forms part of the Perola da Lagoa resort. It occupies one of the best positions on the development, with far reaching views over pine forests and across the valley surrounding Obidos Lagoon. The shores of the Lagoon are 5 minutes walk from the villa, and provide warm, safe swimming and sandy beaches . A 5 minute drive and you can be teeing off at one of the world class golf resorts of Praia Del Rey or Bom Sucesso, dining at one of the many restaurants, lazing on the beach or surfing the crashing Atlantic waves.

The climate is superb, with mild winters and warm summers. Atlantic breezes usually keep the temperatures comfortable during the summer, with averages of around 24 degrees during May/June and 28 degrees during July/August
Obidos Area
Lagoon villa is easily accessible and situated about 50 minutes north of Lisbon on the luxury development of Perola da Lagoa
Perola da Lagoa is situated adjacent to a huge pine forest nestling on the edge of the Obidos Lagoon. The lagoon is the largest sea-water lagoon in Portugal . In this area you can enjoy beautiful quiet walks and cycle tracks, fishing, family-safe swimming in the lagoon, watersports including sailing and water skiing, beach side restaurants and horse riding. There are also beaches around the lagoon, and within 5 minutes drive there are beaches on the Atlantic coast. The beautiful medieval walled town of Obidos is a few minutes drive away with its famous castle, cobbled streets and quaint restaurants and shops. The coastal towns of Peniche (which has a water park), Baleal d'Arelho and Sao Martinho are all within 30 minutes drive and offer great beaches, surf bars, and fish restaurants. The world class golf resorts of Bom Sucesso and Praia Del Rey are also within 5 minutes drive. Praia del Rey hosts the 5 star Mariott Hotel and Spa.
Getting There
Aer Lingus has direct flights from Cork and Dublin to Lisbon Airport (about 50 mins drive from the villa), or to Faro in the Algarve (about 3.5 hrs drive)
Ryanair fly direct from Dublin to Porto Airport (about 3 hrs from the villa)
Direct flights are also available from all major cities in the UK to Lisbon Airport.
