Bella Vista self-catering holiday home is over one hundred years old, and has recently been refurnished to a high standard with gas central heating, wood burning stove and exposed beams in a number of rooms. The property comprises three floors and can accommodate up to six people.
Kitchen/Dining Room: Modern Self-Catering Facilities, fridge -freezer, 4 ring cooker with grill and oven, kettle, microwave, toaster, iron, juicer and all necessities including a beautiful woodburning stove.
Double Bedroom 1: One of our double bedrooms is situated to the front of the house with views from your window of Lake Barcis and the Italian Alps. The room contains a queen-size bed, newly restored antique wardrobe and two lockers. This room also features exposed beams.
Double Bedroom 2: is located to the back of the house and is furnished with a queen bed, 1930’s wardrobe and two lockers.
Twin Bedroom: furnished with a beautiful 1930s bedroom suite including a dresser with a marble top and two single beds with two matching lockers.
Please Note: We do not supply towels.
Sitting Room: boasts stunning views of Lake Barcis. There is also a TV and DVD player and a range of books to read depending on your mood.

Getting There
The nearest main airports are: Treviso Airport (TSF), Trieste Airport (TRS) and Venice Airport (Marco Polo) - all about 1.5 hour's drive to Barcis.
Aer Lingus fly to Venice (Marco Polo) and Ryanair fly to Venice (Treviso). Alitalia fly to Venice (Marco Polo). Numerous other airlines service the region also.
Car hire available at all airports.
By Train - Trenitalia service the town of Pordenone, where you can also hire a car for the short trip to Barcis. From Pordenone you can access Venice and a host of other cities throughout Europe.

The views from the house of Lake Barcis and the surrounding Dolomite mountains in the Italian Alps cannot be adequately described. “Breathtaking”, “spectacular”, “magnificent”, these words may give some sense of the beauty of the place but it must be experienced directly, under changing weather and lighting conditions, to be truly appreciated.
To get to Barcis we flew into Treviso and hired a car. The car came in so handy and we used it to drive to Piancavello and went skiing for the day. We drove to Pordenone another day and took the train to Venice and stayed there for a couple of nights. It was our first time in Venice and we loved it!
Those who value the wonders of the natural world need only step outside the door of Bella Vista to find themselves in paradise. The village of Barcis is quaint and friendly and offers all the basic amenities necessary for a relaxed and enjoyable holiday.
